FREE FROM - Purity of products
Natural label products with the claim "FREE FROM" are increasingly in demand, both in the organic trade as well as in food retailing.
The Standards of FREE FROM
The “Free From”-standards are far more complex than the usual requirements. It includes products without any artificial additions, treatment or ingredients which results in leaving the products the way they are – fresh from the water.
Purity of products
Only products that have a high purity will be certified. There shouldn’t be compromises made between product quality and composition.
Leaving the product in its natural state
Any seafood products should be left in its natural state, no further manipulations are allowed. Exceptions are fileting, trimming, deboning, peeling or cooking of the product.
No treatment
No product will be treated with any antibiotics, colouring, auxiliary materials or other additives. The use of permitted substances is also kept at a minimum.

Traceability
The whole production process is documented on every stage, beginning at the very start with the catch or the hatchery to the finished product.
